★Ingredients
500g sausage meat (you can use pork, turkey, or a mix)
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp dried sage
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
320g puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
★Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried sage, dried thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, about 5mm thick.
Cut the pastry into smaller rectangles, each about 10cm x 15cm.
Divide the sausage mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a long sausage that fits the length of each pastry rectangle.
Place each sausage onto the pastry rectangles and roll the pastry around the sausage, sealing the edges with a bit of water.
Cut each roll into smaller pieces, about 5cm long, and place them seam-side down
