Stuffed meatloaf on the stovetop

★Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup milk

1 egg

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella work well)

1/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce (for topping)

Olive oil for cooking

★Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Divide the meat mixture in half. Flatten one half into a rectangle shape on a piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the flattened meat mixture, leaving a small border around the edges.

Carefully roll up the meatloaf, starting from one of the long edges, using the parchment paper or foil to help lift and roll. Seal the edges and ends to enclose the cheese inside.

Heat a bit of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the stuffed meatloaf seam side down in the skillet.

Cook the meatloaf for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.

Once cooked, brush the top of the meatloaf with ketchup or BBQ sauce.

Cover the skillet with a lid and let the meatloaf cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize slightly.

Remove from heat and let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Enjoy!
