★Ingredients
4 sausages (pork or your preferred type)
4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 onions, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, chopped
4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 cup of milk or cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Teriyaki chicken with mixed vegetables
★Instructions
Prepare the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Cook the Sausages: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add a splash of oil and cook the sausages until browned on all sides, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Broth: Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Boil the Potatoes: While the broth is simmering, place the chopped potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Mash the Potatoes: Add butter and milk or cream to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble: Serve the sausages on top of a mound of mashed potatoes, with a ladle of broth and vegetables over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Enjoy: Serve hot and enjoy this hearty and comforting meal!
Enjoy!
