★Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Peaches:
- If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them.
- In a large bowl, combine the peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- If you prefer a thicker filling, mix in the cornstarch.
- Prepare the Batter:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter, and stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the Cobbler:
- Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the batter evenly over the peaches. Don’t worry if the batter doesn’t cover all the peaches; it will spread as it bakes.
- Bake:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Serve:
- Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
Enjoy!
