Crescent sausage cream cheese cheese

★Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 lb (16 oz) breakfast sausage

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

★Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine Sausage and Cream Cheese:
    In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  3. Prepare Crescent Rolls:
    Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it out flat on a baking sheet. Press the perforations to seal them and form a single sheet of dough.
  4. Cook Sausage:
    In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until it is fully browned. Make sure to break the sausage into crumbles as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.
  5. Add Sausage Mixture:
    Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  6. Top with Second Sheet:
    Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the sausage mixture. Press the edges together to seal.
  7. Bake:
    Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Cool and Slice:
    Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares or rectangles.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, you can add a little shredded cheese (like cheddar) into the sausage and cream cheese mixture.
  • If you like a bit of spice, consider adding some red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the sausage mixture.
