Tater tot casserole recipe

★Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup

1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained (or 1 1/2 cups fresh/frozen)

1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Optional: 1/2 cup sour cream

★Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Beef and Onion:
    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Mix Soups and Green Beans:
    Add the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and drained green beans to the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If using, stir in the sour cream.
  4. Assemble Casserole:
    Spread the beef mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  5. Bake:
    Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
  6. Serve:
    Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
