Cheese garlic rolls recipe

★Ingredients

1 1/4 cups warm water (110°F)

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp sugar

2 tsp salt

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

★Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
  1. Prepare the Dough:
  • Add the flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until the dough comes together.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  1. Shape the Rolls:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  • Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  1. Add Cheese and Garlic:
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and optional parsley.
  • Brush the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the rolls.
  • If desired, sprinkle a bit of Italian seasoning on top.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
