Crispy Chicken Cutlet with Creamy Sauce

★Ingredients

For the Chicken Cutlet:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works well for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Sides:

  • Mixed vegetables (such as sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce)
  • Fries or roasted potatoes

★Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Cutlets:
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it in the beaten eggs, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken cutlets until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Cook until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Keep warm.

  • Arrange the mixed vegetables on a plate.
  • Prepare the fries or roasted potatoes according to your preference.

  • Place the crispy chicken cutlets on a serving plate.
  • Spoon the creamy sauce over the chicken.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.
  • Serve with the mixed vegetables and fries or roasted potatoes.
