Cheesy Baked Meatloaf Recipe

★Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

★Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the meatloaf mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, eggs, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Shape the meatloaf:
    • Transfer the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Shape it into a loaf or flatten it out if you prefer a thinner layer.
  4. Bake the meatloaf:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
  5. Add the cheese:
    • Remove the meatloaf from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
    • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Prepare the glaze:
    • While the meatloaf is baking, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a small bowl.
  7. Glaze the meatloaf:
    • After adding the cheese and baking it, spread the glaze mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
    • Optionally, you can place it back in the oven for a few more minutes to let the glaze set.
  8. Serve:
    • Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
