1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 tbsp unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
★Instructions
- Season the steak bites with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional minute.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs baby potatoes
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place the potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a fork or potato masher to gently smash each potato.
- Drizzle the smashed potatoes with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Top the potatoes with shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the potatoes are crispy around the edges.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
