★Ingredients
Biscuits
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
3/4 cup whole milk
Garlic Butter Topping:
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
★Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
- Cut in the butter: Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cheese and milk: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the biscuits: Scoop about 1/4 cup of dough and drop onto the prepared baking sheet. You should have about 10-12 biscuits.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Prepare the garlic butter: While the biscuits are baking, melt the butter in a small bowl. Stir in the garlic powder and dried parsley.
- Brush with garlic butter: As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture.
- Serve warm:
- Enjoy!
