Trempette au fromage et aux saucisses

★Ingredients

200g (7 oz) of cooked sausage, crumbled (e.g., Italian sausage or breakfast sausage)

1 cup of sour cream

250g (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon of dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/4 cup chopped green onions or fresh parsley for garnish

★Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until fully browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, and basil. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  4. Add Sausage: Fold the cooked sausage into the cheese mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spoon the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  7. Garnish (Optional): If desired, garnish with chopped green onions or fresh parsley before serving.
  8. Serve: Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced baguette.
