Orange-flavored cake

★Ingredients

For the Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 oranges)

1/2 cup whole milk

★Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or a loaf pan.
  1. Mix Dry Ingredients:
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  1. Cream Butter and Sugar:
  • In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  1. Add Eggs and Flavorings:
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each one is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
  1. Combine Wet Ingredients:
  • In a small bowl or measuring cup, combine the fresh orange juice and milk.
