★Ingredients

1 box of yellow cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 cup powdered sugar

★Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.

Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions. Fold in 1/2 cup of the chopped pecans into the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to package instructions, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup of chopped pecans. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Poke holes all over the cooled cake using the handle of a wooden spoon or a fork.

Pour the praline mixture evenly over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and a tablespoon of heavy cream until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cake.

Allow the cake to set for about 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious butter pecan and praline cake!
