2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
★Instructions
- Activate the Yeast:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Prepare the Dough:
- Add the flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Rolls:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Add Cheese and Garlic:
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and optional parsley.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the rolls.
- If desired, sprinkle a bit of Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake:
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy!
