Broccoli Cheese Patties

★Ingredients

2 cups broccoli florets (steamed and chopped)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 clove garlic (minced)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 large eggs

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Olive oil for frying

★Instructions

  1. Steam the Broccoli:
  • Steam the broccoli florets until they are tender. You can also boil them for about 5-6 minutes. Once done, drain and let them cool. Then, chop them into small pieces.
  1. Mix Ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and eggs. Mix well.
  1. Season:
  • Add salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika to the mixture. Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
  1. Form Patties:
  • Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties. You should be able to make around 8-10 patties.
  1. Cook Patties:
  • Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  1. Serve:
  • Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve warm, with a dipping sauce of your choice if desired.
