homemade ranch salad dressing

★Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (or white vinegar)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)

1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives (or 1/2 teaspoon dried chives)

1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed

Salt and black pepper to taste

My Amish friend showed me this treat and I couldn’t stop eating it!

★Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Add Herbs and Seasonings: Stir in the minced garlic, parsley, chives, dill, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to taste.
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
