  1. Cook the Potatoes:
  • Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.

  • Add the onion, garlic, parsley, cheese (if using), flour, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika to the mashed potatoes. Mix until well combined. The mixture should be firm enough to hold its shape; if it’s too soft, add a bit more flour.

  • Shape the mixture into small patties or discs.
  1. Fry the Patties:
  • Heat a thin layer of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties in batches, cooking each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
