★Ingredients
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 boneless ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
Optional: fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor
★Instructions
Take the steaks out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
Preheat your grill or a skillet over high heat.
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and rub it in to coat evenly.
Place the steaks on the hot grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time according to your preference.
During the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and butter to the skillet or grill and baste the steaks with the melted butter.
Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a juicy steak.
Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Enjoy!
