Potato pie with chufa

★Ingredients

1 onion, finely chopped

4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

1 cup grated cheese

2 cups cooked oatmeal porridge

1/2 cup milk

Butter for greasing

Salt and pepper to taste

★Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a pie dish with butter.

Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the pie dish, then sprinkle half of the chopped onion over the potatoes.

Spread half of the cooked oatmeal porridge evenly over the onions.

Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the oatmeal porridge layer.

Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, oatmeal porridge, and cheese.

Pour the milk over the top of the pie.

Cover the pie dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are cooked through.
