Mushroom stuffed with cheese

★Ingredients

4 tablespoons (about 60g) unsalted butter

2 pounds (about 1 kg) potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup (about 120ml) milk or heavy cream

Optional: minced garlic, chopped chives, grated cheese

★Instructions

Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a generous pinch of salt to the water.

Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash them with a potato masher or fork until they reach your desired consistency.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the milk or cream and warm it gently.

Gradually pour the warm butter and milk mixture into the mashed potatoes, stirring until smooth and creamy. Add more milk or cream as needed to reach your desired consistency.

Season the mashed potatoes with salt and pepper to taste, and add any optional ingredients like minced garlic, chopped chives, or grated cheese if desired.

Enjoy!
