Baked eggs and cheese recipe

★Ingredients

4 large eggs

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 cup heavy cream or milk

Salt and pepper to taste

★Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Ramekins:
Lightly grease four small ramekins or oven-safe bowls with butter.

Add Ingredients to Ramekins:

Crack one egg into each ramekin.

Pour one tablespoon of heavy cream or milk over each egg.

Sprinkle each egg with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Divide the shredded cheese evenly among the ramekins, sprinkling it over the eggs.

Bake:
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet to catch any drips and make it easier to handle. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked to your desired doneness.

  • For slightly runny yolks, check around the 12-minute mark.
  • For firmer yolks, let them bake for a couple of minutes longer.

Optional Toppings:
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with chopped chives, parsley, or bacon bits if desired.

Serve:
Serve the baked eggs hot, straight from the ramekins. You can enjoy them with toast or a side salad for a complete meal.
