1 teaspoon lemon essential oil or the zest of one lemon
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for added moisture)
A small container for storage
Meat broth with frozen vegetables
★Instructions
Add Lemon: If you are using lemon essential oil, add it to the melted mixture and stir well. If using lemon zest, grate the zest of one lemon and add it to the mixture, stirring thoroughly.
Melt the Petroleum Jelly: Place the petroleum jelly and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it in the microwave in 15-second intervals until it is fully melted. Alternatively, you can melt it in a double boiler on the stove.
Cool and Store: Pour the mixture into your container and let it cool completely. The mixture will solidify as it cools.
Use as Needed: Once cooled, your homemade Vaseline with lemon is ready to use. Apply it to your lips, hands, or any dry skin areas.
Tips:
If using lemon zest, make sure to strain the mixture before pouring it into the container to avoid having pieces of zest in the final product.
Ensure the lemon essential oil is skin-safe and not a fragrance oil.
