★Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Cut in the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the ice-cold water, mixing until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
- Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and nuts (if using) until well combined.
- Roll Out the Dough:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough into a thin rectangle.
- Spread the filling mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Roll and Slice:
- Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
