★Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the melted butter. Then, pour the yeast mixture into the wet ingredients and mix well.
  4. Form the Dough: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling:

  1. Prepare Apples: Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.
  2. Mix Filling: In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Assemble the Bread:

  1. Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle.
  2. Add Filling: Brush the melted butter over the dough. Evenly distribute the apple slices over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  3. Roll the Dough: Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other to form a log. Slice the log into equal pieces (about 1 inch thick) to form rolls.

Final Steps:

  1. Arrange Rolls: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure they are spaced slightly apart.
  2. Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  3. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired.

Bake:

  1. Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Cool: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy!
