1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 box of chocolate cake mix
1 package of shredded coconut
1 can of coconut milk
1 package of dark chocolate chips
1 cup of heavy cream
★Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions and prepare a baking pan with non-stick spray.
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the instructions on the box and pour it into the prepared baking pan. Bake according to the instructions and let it cool completely.
- Once the cake has cooled, use a fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and coconut milk. Pour this mixture evenly over the top of the cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Spread a layer of shredded coconut over the top of the cake.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour it over the dark chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the shredded coconut layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour to allow it to set.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious Mounds Cake!
