Chocolate covered bars

★Ingredients

For the Chocolate Bars:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

For the Chocolate Coating:

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother coating)

1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet if you prefer)

Meat broth with frozen vegetables

Pork chops with honey garlic

★Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Bars:
  • Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to make it easier to remove the bars later.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the cocoa powder, sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm.
  1. Cut the Bars:
  • Once the chocolate mixture is firm, lift it out of the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang.
  • Cut into bars of your desired size and shape. Place the bars on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  1. Prepare the Chocolate Coating:
  • In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  1. Coat the Bars:
  • Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. You can use a fork to lift the bars out of the chocolate and let the excess drip off.
  • Place the coated bars back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  1. Set the Coating:
  • Allow the chocolate coating to set by placing the bars in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
  1. Serve and Enjoy:
  • Once the chocolate coating is set, your chocolate-covered chocolate bars are ready to enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
