★Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon baking powder
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup buttermilk, cold
1 teaspoon salt
★Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the cold buttermilk. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
Use a biscuit cutter or a sharp knife to cut out biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each biscuit.
Gently reroll any scraps and cut out more biscuits until all the dough is used.
Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Enjoy!
