1/3 cup of cocoa powder

1 cup of butterscotch or caramel chips

14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk

2 teaspoons of vanilla essence

Chinese fried rice

★Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

Spread the chopped nuts evenly on the parchment paper and toast them in the preheated oven for a few minutes until fragrant. Remove and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, cream together 1/4 stick of butter and powdered sugar until foamy.

Mix in the cocoa powder and baking flour until well combined.

Press the batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.

In a saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter with the sweetened condensed milk over low heat, stirring constantly.

Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla essence.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk mixture over the baked crust.

Sprinkle the toasted nuts over the top of the sweetened condensed milk layer.

In a microwave-safe dish, combine the butterscotch or caramel chips with the heavy cream and salt. Microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, until smooth.

Pour the melted butterscotch or caramel mixture evenly over the nuts.

Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Enjoy!
